Teeny Tiny Makeup Haul

Just a little one for you today!  Yesterday I had some time to kill some before my hair appointment and fatally passed by LUSH and Selfridges.  Naturally I ended up buying some of the Charlotte Olympia pieces from MAC and a new lip scrub from LUSH. Have you seen how amazing the packaging is?! I almost didn't want to open it all.

LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub

I've had the LUSH lip scrubs before but Bubblegum is definitely my favourite.  I will admit that I tend to put this on just to lick it off because it tastes incredible.  An alarming shade of pink and tasting of candyfloss, it leaves my lips feeling smooth and exfoliated.  I will endeavour to eat less of it this time.

MAC: Charlotte Olympia Collection Lipstick in Leading Lady Red

Most of the reviews of the Charlotte Olympia Collection I've seen people have chosen
Starlett Scarlet but I opted for the deeper shade of Leading Lady Red.  I've wanted to experiment with darker reds and brown lipsticks for a while but was always afraid they would wash me out.  Lately I've decided that's silly and I should just wear what I want!  I love a matte lipstick, and this is really lovely and highly pigmented but feels quite moisturising.  The packaging is gorgeous, with the clear perspex tube and the gold underneath with the Charlotte Olympia cobweb printed on the front.

MAC: Charlotte Olympia Collection Lip Pencil in He Said, She Said

I also bought the He Said, She Said Lip Pencil as a base to go under Leading Lady Red and a few of my other lipsticks.  Although it's a brick red, it's a very deep one and works well with several of my lipsticks.  Again it has the lovely gold lettering as it is part of the Charlotte Olympia Collection.

MAC Lip Pencil in Cherry

I bought this specifically to go with my MAC Satin finish lipstick in MAC RED which is a bluish red that I don't often wear.  The only reason I don't wear it more is because of the Satin finish - I find it bleeds slightly when on bare lips and I didn't have a lipliner that worked with it.  After talking to the consultant we settled on Cherry as the closest match and it's perfect! Very much looking forward to wearing it soon.

Swatches from top to bottom are He Said, She Said Lip Pencil, Leading Lady Red and Cherry Lip Pencil.

Wearing He Said, She Said Liner and Leading Lady Red. Sorry for the slightly fuzzy quality! I forgot to take this earlier and had to snap it very quickly on my phone while on my way out.

Have you tried any of the Charlotte Olympia Collection?
